Built on the same platform as the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, the Yukon differentiates itself with its upscale appointments and exclusive features. Let’s discover what the 2025 GMC Yukon has to offer.
Why we love the 2025 GMC Yukon?
Diverse Engine Options
The 2025 Yukon offers a trio of engines, all paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The base engine is a 5.3L V8 that produces 355 hp and 383-lb of torque. A bigger 6.2L V8 is available on Denali and Denali Ultimate trims, boosting power output to 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Also available across the entire lineup is a 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine, offering 305 hp and 495 lb-ft of torque. Towing capacity maxes out at 8,400 lbs when properly equipped.
Rear-wheel drive comes standard across most trims, with 4WD available in all and standard on AT4 and AT4 Ultimate models. AT4 and AT4 Ultimate models also feature a two-speed transfer case, Hill Descent Control, and an available adaptive air suspension that raises ground clearance by two inches.
Extensive Interior Comforts
The Yukon offers seating for seven to eight passengers, depending on the trim and configuration. Second-row bench seats or captain’s chairs are available, and the third row accommodates three adults with ample legroom. Each trim offers its own set of comfort features, starting with cloth upholstery, tri-zone climate control, and remote start in the base Elevation trim. Stepping up to Denali brings real wood trim and advanced seating adjustability.
The Denali Ultimate and AT4 Ultimate trims push things even further with full-grain leather upholstery, 16-way power adjustable front seats with heating, ventilation, and massage, and a 22-speaker Bose audio system. The Yukon with the extended wheelbase offers generous cargo capacity, with a class-leading 145 cubic feet of total space, and 41.5 cubic feet behind the third row alone.
Bold Updated Exterior
The Yukon’s commanding road presence is unmistakable. The updated front fascia features a reshaped grille and updated lighting. The headlights now incorporate animated light sequences, while the taillights receive a new light bar design on Denali trims.
Trim-specific details give each version of the Yukon a distinct appearance. The base Elevation trim features blacked-out elements and 20-inch wheels. The AT4 trim adds red tow hooks, 22-inch wheels, and all-terrain tires. Denali trims include chrome accents and unique badging.
Plenty of In-Vehicle Tech
A new 16.8-inch vertically oriented infotainment touchscreen dominates the dashboard. The software supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Google built-in services, voice-activated controls, and over-the-air updates. A configurable 11-inch digital cluster gauge is standard across all trims and is integrated with navigation and safety systems. Denali trims include a full-color Head Up Display to improve the visibility of important driving information.
Sporting several upgrades and new features for 2025, the full-size Yukon is more advanced and luxurious than ever before. Find your ideal trim at Grubbs Wichita Falls in Wichita Falls, TX.
